Victoria’s Secret to launch in Barcelona first store in a Spanish mall

Victoria’s Secret has selected Barcelona as its next destination in Spain. The American beauty and accessories brand will open a store at Maremagnum shopping center this summer, marking the first Victoria’s Secret store in a Spanish mall.

The opening follows an agreement between the American retailer and French shopping center operator Klépierr, and will help expand the brand’s presence in the country. Victoria’s Secret arrived in Spain at the end of 2014 with the launch of two stores, in Barcelona’s El Prat airport and in Madrid’s Barajas Adolfo Suarez airport.

Victoria’s Secret agreement with Klépierr could pave the way for more store openings on Spanish soil. Both companies are understood to be seeking further expansion opportunities across the country.

Maremagnum shopping center is located at the bottom end of La Rambla, in the heart of Barcelona. With more than 11,5 million annual visitors, Maremagnum is operated by Klépierr and is home to several specialty brands and restaurants.
