Vivienne Tam teams with Joy & Peace team on NYFW footwear collection

Vivienne Tam debuted her footwear capsule collection with Joy & Peace on the New York catwalk during her fall/winter 2016 show February 15. The collection is inspired by indigenous cultures across the Chinese western frontier to central Asia. The collection features leather laser cut knee boots with gold embellished heels and suede embroidered pumps with Chinese Fire Cloud pattern accents, among others.

“I’m excited to collaborate with Joy & Peace, in created a series of custom designed footwear inspired by the journey along the new Silk Road, blending influences from indigenous cultures into a harmonious mosaic, to explore a sojourn of joy and peace,” said Vivienne Tam of the capsule collection. The collection will be available at Joy & Peace stores in China, Hong Kong and Macau this fall and subsequently in the United States.
 
Vivienne Tam is internationally renowned for her culture-bridging East meets West approach to design and global collaborations. Items from her collections are in permanent archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, among others. Her designs are sold in 30 freestanding retail stores and over 100 specialty and department stores worldwide.
