Dame Vivienne Westwood will receive the André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award from the Savannah College of Art and Design, the school has revealed.

She will be given the award in conjunction with the SCAD Fashion Show on May 15th. Westwood was chosen "in recognition of her achievements and legacy in fashion," the school said.
After she has been given the award, Westwood will be in conversation with Véronique Hyland, fashion news editor for New York magazine’s The Cut. The ticketed event is free and open to the public.
The André Leon Talley Award was renamed in fashion editor and curator Talley's name in 2001, and he was given an honorary doctorate from the university in 2008.
