JD Sports Fashion has enjoyed strong sales since late summer with total revenues for the 22 weeks to January 1 up 10%. It also upgraded its profit forecast for the full year after the good trading in H2 so far.
Acquisition-hungry JD Sports Fashion has now moved into beauty. The UK-based sportswear giant has bought a stake in online hair & beauty brand Hairburst, which sells vitamins, shampoos and styling products.
In what looks to be a strong fit, retail giant JD Sports Fashion has made a multi-million-pound investment in UK performance wear/althleisure retailer Gym King, taking a “significant” minority stake in the firm.
The British sneaker and sportswear retailer will set foot in the French capital next year, on Rue de Rivoli, and will also open a store in Times Square, New York -- one year after first entering the U.S. market.
