The Swiss group announced on Tuesday the finalisation of its acquisition of the entirety of The Kooples Group. It has named Romain Guinier to the head of the French group, as revealed by FashionNetwork.com.
Following the French competition authority's approval of the group's acquisition of The Kooples, Thierry Guibert of Maus Frères, owner of Lacoste, Gant and Aigle, has confided the brand to Aigle's CEO.
After a period of absence following the bankruptcy of the Ricon group, which ran the brand's distribution network in the country, Gant is returning to Portugal – and this time it'll be managing its operations directly.
French label The Kooples, currently in negotiations for a possible take-over by Swiss group Maus Frères, has unveiled a new collaboration with Puma, featuring sneakers and, for the first time, sportswear.
