As the Covid-19 crisis continues, brands that aren’t well established will have a tough time surviving, even if they’re owned by big names. So it was no surprise to learn that River Island-backed Harpenne has been axed.
The CFDA's biggest fundraiser will take place on June 8 in the Celeste Bartos Forum -- a dramatic, domed space within the library -- marking the first fashion awards to take place at the NYPL since 2008.
River Island is getting a sister brand in the form of Harpenne, a womenswear label launching in September. Harpenne will target an older age group with ethically sourced pieces designed to flatter all body shapes.
