Carrefour, Europe’s largest retailer, said that its overhaul plan aimed at boosting earnings was on track even though sales growth slowed in the third quarter, reflecting a weaker performance in its core French market.
Carrefour said revenue growth accelerated in the first quarter, driven by robust sales in Brazil and an improving performance in the core French market where hypermarket sales turned slightly positive.
The Smiley Company had good news this week and said that last year was strong, despite the weak retail sector. And while full 2018 results are still being prepared, the first nine months suggest a healthy final figure.
