Not even a year and a half after Jean Paul Gaultier bid farewell to the catwalks, the house he founded will relaunch into ready-to-wear with a collab collection with five designers including Ottolinger and Palomo Spain.
Spanish designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo has presented his ‘Nuevo Día’ collection with a video set amongst the heliostats of a thermosolar power plant. Inspired by pacifism, Palomo’s bywords are “freedom and comfort.”
The menswear collections for next winter presented in London, Florence, Milan and Paris highlighted 10 main trends, notably showcasing an increasingly liberated, hybrid kind of man, his feminine side clearly displayed.
Influenced by El Greco, Alejandro Gómez Palomo presented a mature show in which electronic ravers dipped into the extreme baroque codes of the brand, all in front of a backdrop taken straight out of Holy Week.
