On the first day of Pitti Uomo, the city of Florence awarded its highest distinction, the Fiorino d’Oro (golden florin), to the boss of Kering, in recognition of the French luxury group's investments in Tuscany.
The flags chosen as the theme of the Florentine menswear show, which opens on Tuesday, symbolise the diverse, international range of exhibitors of this winter session, featuring major names and special events.
The luxury menswear label owned by Kering has chosen the famous Florentine trade show to make its grand comeback. For Brioni's 75th anniversary, it will stage an event-presentation produced by Olivier Saillard.
With Luca Rizzi, a specialist supporter of emerging design, now at the Tutorship helm, the Florentine group looks to develop its tutoring project with the help of additional advisors such as Linda Loppa and Franco Penè.
