Pattern People: Runway Patchwork Geo Resort 16

Interesting geo stories are emerging on the Resort runways with lots of black and white and some 60’s inspired modern prints. The most enthralling so far has been Chanel’s show which took place in Seoul. Prints were inspired by the bright colors of modern Seoul, as well as the Korean patchwork technique called pojagi. This type of patchwork is used on wrapping cloth which covers everything from stored clothing to presents. I am feeling inspired by the unconventional quilting configurations here and look forward to incorporating these compositions in my next print collection. What do you think?
