black and white is the winning duo colour of the season! all over or in opposition, impossible to escape in 2013. lanvin reinvents the classics, the little black dress and the tuxedo, riccardo tisci at givenchy, advocates a figure opposed to a blurred structure, black and white. the new saint laurent woman parades all in black, slim trousers, lavaliere collar blouse and a belted waist. and the boyish silhouette of céline, is also expressed in a black and white colour block.
summer is often associated with travel and exoticism. this season designers seem to have done a stopover in asia. folding origami, obi belts, kimono jackets, many references... prada, combines strict lines and simple designs borrowed from the traditional japanese wardrobe. pucci opts for chinese motifs embroidered on kimono jackets.
ruffles also match the curves of the clothes and soften straight lines of the silhouette. femininity and sensuality guaranteed! placed around the neck, on a sleeve, along the arms, the waist just like in the gucci, givenchy and chloe shows.
after the magic of ruffles, pleats also adorn silhouettes, for a graphic game combining transparency and touches of colour at stella mccartney.
the charm of lace and guipure continues next summer. the materials are lightweight. parsimony on a bust for a romantic, sensible but also sexy silhouette.ellie saab colours and structures it with strips of ribbon.
fishnet also appears everywhere, at alexander mcqueen, sarah burton uses it as the base. honeycomb patterns adorn the wasp waist silhouettes. same at véronique leroy or at chloé. at balmain, raffia is plaited for a very caning 80s effect.
another major trend of the season, the return of the 80s woman : square shoulders, short bust, figure hugging dress, belted waist, appearing as a biker jacket, claiming gender equality in trouser suits, but knowing how to play its authority and charm ...
