Designer : luca airoldi title : "belle e-pop". 3rd handmade collection.nostalgia of the belle epoque seen through a contemporary language by luca airoldi, a former financier converted into fashion.silhouette : a collection 100% made in knit, highlighting the artisanal work and the made in italy. a complete wardrobe with jumpers, skirts, trousers, coats and accessories with a work around pastel colours.the line is straight, the propositions are lengthened.cashmere, mink, wool…the warm materials and comfortable shapes for a desirable and romantic silhouette. interview with luca airoldi : this time we started from a silent movie from the beginning of the century and we decided to put some colour on it and so what comes out is a few frames and scenes with this character dressed in a very 1920s and beginning of the century way with a bit of a modern twist and a bit of colour, so we called the collection belle e-pop to remind the process that drives us through the times, from the belle époque to the pop colours of the 1960s and 70s, so there’s a mix and match, that’s the word of the collection this year.this time we used the usual knitting and crotchet but we introduced the tunisian crotchet which takes forever but we love it because it gives the garment a new texture and allows you to create new shapes and different weights as well. it’s something completely new for us, but i think it will be followed by a lot of people after these ideas have been brought to the market. when you think about knitwear you only think about jumpers and sweaters, no this is a collection completely handmade and knitwear so forget about pulls, you have trousers, skirts, coats and all the accessories as well so it’s a complete collection. music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
